A little about my career in design

Hi, I'm Marcelo Schelck and I have over 20 years of design experience. I have worked in several segments including Healthcare, Finance, B2B SaaS, Investments, among others.

During my career I navigated between management and individual contributors. I am currently a Partner and Product & Design Ops Sr. Manager at XP Inc, the largest investment company in Brazil.

My contact with design began more than a decade ago, in a small printing shop where I made the first layouts with movable lead types.

At the communications university, I was fascinated by classes in anthropology, philosophy, sociology, psychology, among other disciplines that study human behavior.

I worked on projects from small companies to large international institutions, discovering how design can be a bridge to understanding and solving problems.

Halfway through, I completed a postgraduate degree in interaction design. I discovered people-centered design and a vast list of incredible topics and disciplines involving ergonomics, usability, accessibility, information architecture, among others.

And along the way I met incredible people and learned a lot from them :)

I had the opportunity to work in the Health segment, within the largest public traumatology institute in Latin America, carrying out projects to allow thousands of patients to have more access to information and helping them to have a better quality of life.

With the purpose of simplifying the lives of entrepreneurs in Brazil, I was able to help thousands of people who own small businesses, working on a SaaS B2B platform that was accelerated in Silicon Valley.

Afterwards, I delved into the world of investments to help people invest and make their money work for them.

I was part of the brokerage that helped me take my first steps as an investor. Then, within the largest digital bank in the world, I worked on building its first investment products. And today I'm at the main brokerage firm in the country, with the opportunity to impact millions of people.
